Mapping of Coastal Flooding Risk

I have started to work on techniques/methodologies for mapping of Coastal Flooding Risk. The subject is quite important since, as you may know, the New European Directive on the assessment and management of floods, asks for "flood risk maps for river basins, subbasins and stretches of coastline". I would like to know if in other European Countries there are colleagues who work on this (names, e-mails etc.) and if there are official documents describing such techniques
