ENCORA Portal The Thematic Network 9 “Assessment of Field Observation Techniques” is part of the ENCORA Coordination Action which aims to overcome existing fragmentation of knowledge for sustainable coastal development, spread among hundreds of European institutions for coastal policy-making and coastal management and furthermore to strengthen the links existing within and between the coastal science and practitioner communities. A range of mechanisms will be developed by ENCORA to share knowledge and experience within and between the communities of coastal science, policy and practice. These mechanisms will be implemented by Coordination Offices that have been established in 15 European and 3 North-African countries, and rely in addition on affiliated networks, partly operating world wide.
