Definition of Biofouling:
Biofouling or biological fouling is the undesirable accumulation of microorganisms, plants, algae, and animals on submerged structures, especially ships' hulls. Biofouling also occurs on the surfaces of living marine organisms, when it is known as epibiosis[1].
