Definition of Entrainment:
(1) The dragging along of a slow moving body of water by a faster body of water, generally by frictional effects at the interface.
(2) The upward movement of eroded particles into the water column by net turbulent drag and lift.
This is the common definition for Entrainment, other definitions can be discussed in the article
