Honfleur

The town is best known for its picturesque Old Basin, characterized by its houses with slate-covered frontages, and has been repeatedly pictured by artists, including Gustave Courbet, Eugène Boudin, Claude Monet and Johan Barthold Jongkind, forming the school Honfleur which contributed to the forming of the Impressionist movement.
