Definition of The International Council for Exploration of the Sea:
is an intergovernmental organisation that deals with fishing assessments in the North Atlantic. This includes adjacent seas such as the Baltic Sea and North Sea. Scientists working through ICES gather information about the marine ecosystem. As wel as filling gaps in existing knowledge, this information is also developed into unbiases, non-political advice, and then used by the 20 member countries, wich fund and support ICES, to help them manage the North Atlantic Ocean and Adjacent seas.[1]
This is the common definition for The International Council for Exploration of the Sea, other definitions can be discussed in the article
