Definition of Organochlorine:
The term organochlorine refers to a wide range of chemicals that contain carbon, chlorine and, sometimes, several other elements. A range of organochlorine compounds have been produced including many herbicides, insecticides, fungicides as well as industrial chemicals such as polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). The compounds are characteristically stable, fat-soluble and will bioaccumulate. [1]
This is the common definition for Organochlorine, other definitions can be discussed in the article

Notes

Organochlorine compounds can interference with their endocrine systems, which has the potential to disrupt the reproductive processes in aquatic organisms. Even very low concentrations can cause these effects, considerably lower concentrations than those that are mutagenetic or acutely toxic.[2]
