Definition of Phyla:
(plu. of phylum) In classification, a primary grouping consisting of animals constructed on a similar general plan, and thought to be evolutionarily related. Examples: Porifera (Sponges), Platyhelminthes (flatworms, flukes and tapworms).[1].
